Inspirational Woman: Sarah-Jayne Gratton

Sue Levy interviews the amazing Gratton Girl @grattongirlName  Sarah-Jayne Gratton

What is your Profession and what is it that you do?

I’m fortunate in being able to make a living from what I love, namely my writing and research.  My two books on social media have both become best sellers, which is an enormous thrill.  I consult with clients around the globe about how best to use social media to tell their ‘brand story’ so everyday is an adventure.

Which obstacles did you overcome on your journey in order to find your true calling?

Obstacles are great perspective lenses!  They make you focus on what you’re willing to sacrifice to get to where you want to be and can sometimes bring about your true calling by making you realize that what you thought you wanted wasn’t so important after all.

Are you living your dream life?

I live and work with my soul-mate doing what I love each and every day – it doesn’t get better than that!

What advice would you give someone who pursues to be in similar profession as yourself?

Be prepared for long (and I mean long) hours, lots of research, a thick skin and a belief in yourself.  In other words, you need to have a full understanding of your own brand message before attempting to help others find theirs.

Motivate someone who dreams of being in your shoes?

I hope that my books are inspirational to others in that, they provide the information needed to allow the reader to craft their own unique social media brand show.  It’s not a one-size-fits-all methodology, but one that allows the reader to explore, understand and develop a sense of themselves across all their social media platforms.

Where do you draw motivation from and What inspires you ?

My parents were a huge inspiration.  My father was a writer and my mother was the glue that held the family together.  I miss them everyday.  I try to surround myself with very positive people who share my philosophy on living your best life and in following your dreams.

What is your favourite motivational quote and why?

Difficult things take a long time, impossible things a little longer. ~André A. Jackson

This is a great ‘pick me up’ quote that basically tells us that nothing is truly impossible so long as we don’t give up on our journey.

Inspirational Woman: Roxanna Jones

Name: Roxanna Jones

What is your Profession and what is it that you do?

I am an Anthropologist with a Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations and a Master’s Degree in International Policy and Practice. After I finished my academic education, I was certified as energy healer and also as life coach specialized in life transitions.Currently, I am a best-selling and award-winning writer and life coach with a private practice for clients throughout the world.

Which obstacles did you overcome on your journey in order to find your true calling?

The list of obstacle is endless, but the good news is that slowly but surely, I always got a way to overcome every single one of them. In general, my own ego mind has been my greatest challenge as it was the one creating those obstacles for me. Once I understood that I needed to find a way for my heart to lead the way, my life started changing in ways I couldn’t even imagine. It was when I truly knew the meaning of the word Magic.

What advice would you give someone who pursues to be in similar profession as yourself?

So many experiences to share here with everyone! To keep it simple, I would say that my first advice is to believe in your true self and in your dream, no matter what is going on in your external reality. The second advice is that you must always practice perseverance, persistence and patience, the “Three P’s” as I called them. And last but not least, the third advice is to never give up.

Where do you draw motivation from and What inspires you ?

I lived a period in my life, between 2000 and 2007, when I decided I wanted to learn who I was and what was my purpose in life. During that time, I was blessed to receive the teachings of many amazing masters from different countries, philosophies, traditions, that have lived or still live today. Their wisdom continues to resonate within me. That, and the fact that my heart is always whispering words of love and hope is what keeps me inspired and motivated.

What is your favourite motivational quote and why?

One that I wrote I while back as part of my HealThruWords© quotes collection:

http://roxanajones.com/2011/09/19/inspirational-quote-infinite-love/

“Have you ever realized the infinite nature of love? Let’s give it away! It is unlimited!”

~Roxana Jones

I think that in a simple way this says it all. If we’re willing to discover the true meaning of love, and the fact that we are love itself, then we and our dreams become unlimited.

Dearest Roxana

What a positive blessing to have you as part of this initiative. Thank you so much for your time and for wanting to inspire my readers.

I just love what you had to say about the “Three P’s” which are “practice perseverance, persistence and patience” That was the greatest lesson I got from your interview as I think as a woman we always give up too soon. The three P’s are definitely something I believe in and to hear it from you  just cemented the idea more in my mind and soul.

I am truly inspired by you and that you have taken time to find your passion over a period of years as a Bestseller and Award winner author . I know your story will shed light on others darkness and that your words will resonate in my readers hearts as it did in mine.

I love your blog! It’s totally in line with what I do and I just want to say Thank You for being who you are and so inspirational to me

Sending you Love and Light all the way from South Africa

Sincerely Sue
